We are currently recruiting for a Nursing Consultant with experience of working within an infection control capacity. If you are a professional and organised individual with strong leadership skills, this full-time, fixed-term vacancy is the perfect opportunity for you!

Main responsibility of the Educational Psychologist role will be:
  • To provide consultative nursing advice to Public Healthcare professionals, specialising in Infection Control departments.
Candidates for this position will ideally have the ability to:
  • Use interpersonal skills to build rapport and communicate with a range of stakeholders;
  • Communicate verbally, providing advice and/or information in accurate spoken English;
  • Communicate effectively in writing;
  • Meet strict deadlines and prioritise competing demands.
To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate experience of:
  • Working within an infection control environment;
  • Demonstrating direction and leadership within health protection capacities;
  • Commissioning services and setting up structures to fulfil legislative requirements and assurance that all elements of the health protection service meets the needs of the population;
  • Nursing in acute and community health and social care settings, with a high level of clinical expertise and professional advice on health protection across the whole health and social care economy;
  • Managing a team and co-ordinating a Public Health Protection Team in response to local health protection emergencies.
