Our client Walsall Council are looking for Money Home Job Assistant.

Duties:

  • To work as part of a team providing the first point of contact for Walsall Council in person, via the telephone and any other appropriate method of communication
  • Assist customers to effectively interact with the council’s service, providing general advice on services and signposting to other relevant agencies as appropriate
  • Undertake general office duties such as scanning, indexing, photocopying, handling incoming and outgoing mail and maintaining adequate supplies of forms and filing where necessary.
  • Operate as a meet and greet floorwalker, welcoming customers to the building, providing a response to requests for information and assistance and ensuring customers are able to resolve their enquiry.
  • Responsibility to provide basic advice and guidance to assist the customer with their welfare benefit related issues
  • Ensure that the public area is kept clean and tidy at all times and that all information displayed is accurate and up to date
  • To use relevant IT systems, software and other machinery as required.
  • Collect fees, issue receipts and assist with banking of income as and when required, adhering to the councils financial procedures and regulations
  • Responsibility to process and monitor invoice payments.
  • Engage with customers both face to face and via the telephone to obtain feedback to help shape and improve the service.

37 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Salary: £9.41
