Locum Administration Officer (Legal Services)

Our client Walsall Council are looking for a Locum Administration Officer (Legal Services).

  • To carry out general office administrative duties as required, including:

–      The collection, opening and distribution of incoming and outgoing post  and delivery of documents

–      Photocopying

–      Faxing/scanning

–      Filing using a case management system including preparation of manual files and assisting in the saving and retrieving of documents

–      Stationery control

–      Dealing with telephone calls including calling individuals, organisations and courts

–      Organisation of diaries, rooms, refreshments and facilities for meetings etc

–      Maintaining records (manual/computer)

–      Dealing with visitors, including elected members, council officers, members of the public

–      Sending external standard emails to individuals and organisations

–      Preparing bundles of documents both manually and using an electronic system

  • Experience of copy typing, audio typing and experience in a legal environment would all be advantageous.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Word and Outlook in a busy office, Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint and maintaining office databases.
  • Experience of having worked in a legal environment

Hours: 37 per week

Pay rate: £8.82 PAYE
