Job Details:

Together with excellent communications delivery skills, the post-holder will have a wide ranging knowledge and awareness of the Council in order to deliver an effective corporate communications service. Required to work out of hours and weekends as communication lead on the emergency planning service rota.


  1. At least three years experience working in the field of communications and ability to demonstrate knowledge of a broad range of activities such as management experience, communications strategy/plan development, media awareness, website development and management, producing publications, marketing, social media and event organising.
  2. Proven experience working with and developing strategies for social media platforms (especially Facebook,Twitter, LinkedIn and video and image sharing sites).
  3. Significant experience of planning and overseeing a range of communications activities including the development of systems and/or processes, dealing with external consultants, and managing budgets and staff.


Degree level qualification or equivalent level of experience in a related field.


£18.55 ph – £22.05 ph
