Community Safety Manager

Our client Walsall Council are looking for a Community Safety Manager.

SALARY: £24-£27 per hour 


  • Ability to provide excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and body language appropriately to enhance relationships with others particularly in a relationship setting.
  • Work effectively and build trust and confidence in the public sector in particular managing services associated with community safety/crime prevention.
  • Knowledge of community safety/crime prevention legislation, policies and best practice.
  • Ability to understand and have experience of partnership work  and ability to work positively and flexibly with a variety of people/organisations, including members of the public, trade and industry, statutory/voluntary bodies, enforcement agencies, partner organisations and other services within the Council.
  • Deliver effective presentations and public speaking.
  • Understand the communication of community safety messages.
  • Supervise investigation of criminal offences and understanding of professional practice using a range of civil and criminal interventions for combating anti-social behaviour and tackling crime and disorder.


  • Writing service plans/work programmes and conducting service reviews
  • Project managing major community safety initiatives/programmes including multi-tasking, and working under pressure and to a changing government/Member agenda.
